"These are simple but effective tools that reflect a proactive and accountable Judiciary," she said.
In a related development, Justice Nabakooza, together with Chief Magistrate and Acting Registrar of Entebbe High Court, HW Amabilis Stella, visited Bussi Island on30th May. During the visit, they held meetings with local district authorities, who showcased a two-acre piece of land allocated to the Judiciary for future development.
The local leaders also requested the deployment of a Magistrate Grade One to serve the island communities, citing the difficulty residents face traveling long distances to Entebbe, Kajansi for judicial services. In response, Justice Nabakooza acknowledged the urgent need and pledged to convey their request to the top leadership of the Judiciary.
In the interim, the district authorities offered office space within their council premises to facilitate judicial services on the island.
"This is a commendable gesture, and as a Judiciary, we must continue to bridge the gap between the courts and the people," the Judge noted.
